Anti-C4 Antibody [KT29]

The Mouse monoclonal antibody clone KT29, offered by Antibodies.com, specifically recognizes human complement component C4, a large secreted glycoprotein central to the classical and lectin activation pathways of the complement cascade. Upon pathway activation, native C4 is cleaved into the anaphylatoxin C4a and the opsonically active fragment C4b, which covalently deposits on target surfaces and drives downstream recruitment of C2 to form the C3 convertase C4b2a. This unconjugated IgG1 reagent is validated for ELISA-based detection and is supplied as a liquid formulation in a 100 µg vial, providing ample material for assay development and screening of complement activity. For long-term stability, aliquot the antibody upon receipt and store refrigerated; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Research use only.
