A polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targeting complement component C1R, the catalytic serine protease subunit of the C1 complex that initiates the classical complement cascade. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 200 µl per vial, this reagent is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers investigating complement activation, innate immunity, autoimmune disease models, and protease function use this reagent to probe full-length C1R, which migrates around 80 kDa as a single-chain zymogen, in cell lysates or fixed cell preparations. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal clone, useful when mapping conformational changes, processing intermediates, or glycosylation variants of the complement protease. Aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated between uses to preserve antibody activity. Intended for in vitro research use only.
