This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against human C1-inhibitor (C1INH), a serine protease regulator of the classical complement pathway, and is supplied as an unconjugated 100 µL reagent validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows.

C1INH, encoded by SERPING1, restrains activation of C1r and C1s and modulates bradykinin release through the contact system. Its deficiency or dysfunction is the molecular basis of hereditary angioedema (HAE), so the reagent is widely applied in research on complement-mediated inflammation, vascular permeability, and SERPING1-associated pathology. Studies of normal hepatocytes, plasma fractions, and inflamed endothelial tissue commonly use anti-C1INH antibodies to track biosynthesis, inhibitor-protease complex formation, and consumption during complement activation.

With human-specific reactivity and an unconjugated format, the polyclonal reagent allows flexibility in assay design, including secondary antibody choice and signal amplification strategy. For best results, aliquot the 100 µL volume upon arrival and minimize freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity across multiple experiments.
