The C1D target is a small nuclear phosphoprotein of approximately 16 kDa that participates in RNA processing pathways and the cellular DNA damage response, including recognition of UV-induced lesions. This unconjugated, rabbit-derived polyclonal reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a formulation that supports routine laboratory handling and protects the antibody from freeze-thaw damage during storage at -20 °C.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows, the antibody cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of transcription regulation, rRNA maturation, and nuclear corepressor function. The polyclonal nature of the reagent allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the C1D nuclear receptor corepressor, which can be advantageous when probing the protein across different experimental conditions and post-translational states.

Working dilutions vary by application: typical Western blot ranges from 1:500 to 1:2000, while immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining often use 1:50 to 1:200, depending on tissue type and fixation method. Aliquot upon receipt if extended storage is anticipated, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve reagent performance for research use only applications in cell biology and molecular biology laboratories.
