Anti-c-Jun (N85) Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the N-terminal region of the c-Jun transcription factor, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets a protein that dimerizes with c-Fos to form the AP-1 complex, a central node in MAPK/JNK signaling that drives transcription of genes linked to cell-cycle progression, differentiation, and stress-induced apoptosis.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of purified IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, unconjugated and preservative-stabilized. Validated applications include Western blot detection of the endogenous c-Jun band in lysates from human, mouse, and rat samples, immunoprecipitation of native c-Jun-containing protein complexes, and immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections for nuclear localization studies.

Because the immunogen corresponds to a region conserved across human, mouse, and rat c-Jun orthologs, the reagent supports cross-species studies of AP-1 activity, including investigations of JNK pathway activation, oncogenic transformation, and neuronal or immune signaling.
