Anti-c-Fos (S368) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the immediate-early transcription factor c-Fos and recognizes an epitope spanning serine residue S368. c-Fos dimerizes with Jun family members to form the AP-1 complex, which regulates genes involved in proliferation, differentiation, and the cellular response to stress, growth factors, and neuronal activity, and is widely used as a marker of recent neuronal activation in neuroscience research.

Supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples. For handling, the vial should be refrigerated, protected from light, and aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles; brief centrifugation before use helps recover the full volume from the small vial.
