This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets C/EBP-ε (CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein epsilon), a bZIP transcription factor central to terminal granulocyte differentiation and myeloid lineage commitment. Raised in rabbit and unconjugated, the reagent is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a glycerol-based format suited to common western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

C/EBP-ε expression is largely restricted to late-stage myeloid cells, where it drives transcription of secondary and tertiary granule proteins in neutrophils and supports eosinophil maturation. Loss-of-function mutations in the CEBPE gene underlie specific granule deficiency, a primary immunodeficiency marked by absent neutrophil secondary granules and recurring infections, which makes this antibody a useful research reagent for studies of neutrophil biology, innate immunity, and transcription-factor control of hematopoiesis. Confirmed reactivity across human, mouse, and rat species supports cross-species comparisons of granulopoiesis in cell culture and tissue models.

The 50% glycerol cryoprotectant allows the antibody to be stored at -20 °C without freeze-thaw damage, and the 0.1% sodium azide preservative enables short-term handling at room temperature. Aliquoting upon first use is recommended to preserve activity across multiple experiments.
