This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes C/EBP ε only when phosphorylated at serine 193, allowing selective detection of the activated, post-translationally modified form of this transcription factor in cell lysates. C/EBP ε is a bZIP family member best characterized for driving terminal granulocyte differentiation and for orchestrating innate immune gene programs, so phospho-S193-specific detection is particularly useful in studies of myelopoiesis, inflammatory signaling, and neutrophil-specific granule deficiency models where C/EBP ε function is altered. The antibody is validated for Western blot and is reactive against mouse and rat samples, supporting work in standard rodent inflammation and hematopoiesis systems.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH ~7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, and should be stored refrigerated to preserve phospho-specific binding activity. As a polyclonal raised in rabbit, the reagent can engage multiple epitopes surrounding the phospho-S193 site, and the unconjugated format allows researchers to pair it with their own choice of reporter-labeled secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot detection.
