The recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) phosphorylated at tyrosine 223, an autophosphorylation site widely used as a read-out of BTK catalytic activation in B-cell receptor signaling. Supplied as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl liquid vial, the antibody is validated for Western Blot detection of human BTK when the kinase is in its active, Y223-phosphorylated state.

BTK is a cytoplasmic non-receptor tyrosine kinase essential for B-cell maturation, and aberrant BTK activity is implicated in X-linked agammaglobulinemia and in several B-cell malignancies, making phospho-Y223 detection useful in immunology, hematology, and oncology research. The recombinant rabbit monoclonal format delivers lot-to-lot consistency for reproducible phospho-protein work, and the reagent is provided in a buffer of TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, allowing storage at -20 °C with protection from light and minimal freeze-thaw damage across aliquots.

Researchers studying BCR signaling, primary B-cell cultures, or kinase inhibitor screens can probe whole-cell lysates for the activated kinase band; the expected molecular weight is approximately 76 kDa. Each vial is intended for research use only and pairs with standard HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent Western Blot imaging of BTK pathway activity.
