A polyclonal rabbit antibody raised against Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary reagent at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The 100 µl volume supports multiple immunoblotting and staining experiments from a single vial.

BTK is a cytoplasmic non-receptor tyrosine kinase essential for B-cell receptor signaling, B-cell maturation, and downstream calcium mobilization. Loss-of-function mutations in the BTK gene cause X-linked agammaglobulinemia, while dysregulated BTK activity is implicated in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, mantle cell lymphoma, and autoimmune disease models, making BTK a frequent subject of basic immunology research and translational studies of small-molecule kinase inhibitors.

This antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, and is reported to react with human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers commonly apply it to examine BTK expression in lymphoid tissues such as spleen and lymph node, and in B-cell populations relevant to immune signaling studies, including investigations of receptor-mediated phosphorylation cascades.

Aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store frozen. For long-term storage, freezing at -80 °C preserves antibody integrity over extended periods; the 50% glycerol formulation provides protection against repeated freeze-thaw events when working stocks are kept refrigerated at 4 °C.
