Supplied by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) and specifically recognises an epitope surrounding the tyrosine 222 phosphorylation site. The antibody was generated using a synthesised non-phosphopeptide derived from human BTK (sequence A-L-Y(p)-D-Y), allowing it to detect endogenous levels of total BTK protein rather than only the phosphorylated form. Each vial is provided at 50 µl with a working concentration of 1.0 mg/ml, formulated as Rabbit IgG in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, supplemented with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated primary antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and has been confirmed to cross-react with both human and mouse samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of B-cell receptor signalling and B-cell development. For routine handling the product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve activity. The polyclonal nature of the reagent provides broad epitope coverage, and its target specificity makes it a useful tool for researchers investigating BTK-dependent pathways in immunology, leukaemia and autoimmune disease models.
