A polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit against the B-cell translocation gene 1 (BTG1) protein, supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml solution in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. BTG1 belongs to the BTG/Tob family of anti-proliferative proteins that regulate the G1/S transition of the cell cycle and participate in mRNA deadenylation through interaction with PABP and the CCR4-NOT complex. The gene was originally identified at the t(8;14) chromosomal breakpoint in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia and has since been studied in the context of B-cell development, the DNA damage response, and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, where recurrent BTG1 mutations have been reported.
Recommended applications include Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated format allows direct labeling or pairing with a secondary detection reagent of the researcher's choice. For storage, aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and keep at -20 °C. For research use only, not for diagnostic procedures.
