BRI3 is a brain-enriched type II transmembrane polypeptide that physically interacts with amyloid precursor protein (APP) and has been reported to modulate Aβ generation, which makes it a relevant target in Alzheimer's disease and broader neuroscience research. This Antibodies.com primary reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody that detects endogenous BRI3 in Western blot workflows applied to human, mouse, and rat samples.

Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is ready to dilute directly into standard blocking and incubation buffers. The sodium azide preservative should be washed out before use with azide-sensitive HRP substrates. For long-term activity, store refrigerated and protected from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting upon first thaw.

Because the antibody is polyclonal, it recognizes multiple epitopes across the native BRI3 sequence rather than a single linear determinant, which generally produces stronger signal in whole-cell lysates and brain tissue homogenates than monoclonal alternatives. Empirical working dilutions for Western blot commonly fall between 1:500 and 1:2000, depending on target abundance in the sample and the sensitivity of the chosen substrate.
