Anti-BrdU Antibody

A mouse monoclonal antibody to BrdU, available from Antibodies.com as a primary antibody. The unconjugated reagent is raised in mouse and recognises the BrdU target. According to the manufacturer's datasheet, the immunogen was recombinant full length human BrdU, and specificity was tested by competitive ELISA. In that assay, binding was inhibited by 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU), 5-chloro-2'-deoxyuridine (CldU) and 5-iodo-2'-deoxyuridine (IdU), while no cross-reactivity was observed with 5-fluoro-2'-deoxyuridine (FdU) and thymidine (T).

The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. It has been affinity-purified from mouse ascites by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Validated applications are IHC and ICC/IF.
