Raised in rabbit against human Bone morphogenetic protein 7 (BMP7), this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µg of IgG and is intended for research use only. BMP7 is a secreted signaling protein of the TGF-β superfamily that drives osteoblast differentiation, chondrogenesis, and renal tubulogenesis, so the reagent is widely used to study bone repair, fracture healing, kidney injury models, and mesenchymal stem-cell differentiation protocols. Validated applications include Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, where the polyclonal format improves detection by recognizing multiple epitopes along the BMP7 molecule and helps preserve signal in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibody to the end user. Aliquoting on receipt is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and longer-term storage conditions should follow the lot-specific data sheet.
