BOC (Boc cell adhesion molecule) is a cell surface glycoprotein that serves as a co-receptor in the Hedgehog signaling pathway, partnering with CDON to regulate Smoothened activation during embryonic patterning, myogenic differentiation, and axon guidance. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com, designated Anti-BOC Antibody, is supplied in 100 µl volumes and validated for western blot detection and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat specimens. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes across the BOC extracellular domain, supporting expression studies in developing skeletal muscle, neural crest derivatives, and tumor contexts where Hedgehog pathway activity has been implicated. Researchers studying developmental biology, Smoothened-dependent signaling, or cadherin-family adhesion mechanisms can apply the antibody to confirm BOC localization in fixed tissue sections and to verify transcript-level findings at the protein level in cell lysates.
