Anti-BNIP-2 Antibody

This polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets BNIP-2, a member of the BNIP family originally characterized through interactions with the adenovirus E1B 19K oncoprotein and now studied for its roles in apoptosis regulation and Rho GTPase signaling. Raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is unconjugated and provided as 100 µl of liquid. The antibody is validated for western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies of BNIP-2 expression in cell lysates and fixed cells. BNIP-2 contains a conserved BCH (BNIP-2 and Cdc42GAP homology) domain that mediates binding to Cdc42 and related Rho family GTPases, and the protein has been described as a phosphorylation substrate of the serine/threonine kinase PINK1, linking it to mitochondrial quality control and cytoskeletal remodeling.
