BNC1 (Basonuclin 1) is a zinc-finger transcription factor with established roles in keratinocyte differentiation, ribosomal RNA gene regulation, and germ cell development. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl aliquot, validated for Western blot on lysates from human, mouse, and rat samples.

Researchers working on epithelial skin biology, spermatogenesis, and oncology use anti-BNC1 reagents to probe how this transcription factor is expressed across normal and tumour tissue. Published work has linked altered BNC1 levels to basal cell and squamous skin cancers as well as colorectal carcinoma, making the antibody a useful marker for tracking keratinocyte lineage identity and epithelial differentiation status by western blot.

For storage, keep the vial refrigerated at 4°C in the supplied glycerol buffer; aliquoting is advisable if the reagent will be used over many weeks to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Antibodies.com catalogs the reagent under Primary Antibodies and confirms reactivity against human, mouse, and rat BNC1, allowing the same lot to be applied across species in comparative studies.
