Bone morphogenetic protein receptor type 1B (BMPR1B), also known as ALK6, is a serine/threonine kinase receptor in the TGF-β superfamily that mediates signaling from BMP2, BMP4, BMP7, and GDF5 ligands. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against BMPR1B and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial.

The reagent has been verified for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows and detects endogenous BMPR1B in both human and mouse samples. Investigators studying chondrogenesis, osteoblast differentiation, ovarian granulosa cell function, and receptor signaling in reproductive or skeletal biology employ it to map BMPR1B distribution in fixed tissue sections, confirm expression in cell lysates by WB, and visualize receptor localization by IF.

For storage, keep the vial at -20 °C in the glycerol-supplied buffer; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light during handling. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on BMPR1B, which is useful when surveying expression across tissues or comparing receptor levels in knockout versus wild-type controls.
