BMP8A (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 8A) is a secreted signaling molecule in the TGF-β superfamily implicated in thermogenic regulation of brown adipose tissue, osteoblast differentiation, and reproductive axis signaling. The Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal raised against BMP8A, supplied at 100 µl, unconjugated, and validated on human samples for Western blot (WB) detection of endogenous protein and immunofluorescence (IF) localization in fixed cells or tissue sections.

It is used as a primary antibody at optimized working dilutions in standard immunoblotting workflows and as a probe for subcellular BMP8A distribution in cultured human cells or cryosections. Because BMP8A expression has been reported in thermogenic adipose depots and in developing bone, this reagent supports studies of metabolic disease, skeletal biology, and growth factor signaling pathways.

Storage recommendations call for aliquoting and storage at -20 °C in working volumes to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with short-term use at 4 °C for the dilute working solution. The polyclonal format increases the chance of recognizing multiple epitopes on BMP8A, which can be helpful when probing processed or post-translationally modified forms of the protein.
