BMF (Bcl-2 modifying factor) is a BH3-only member of the Bcl-2 family that promotes apoptosis, and this rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against it for detection in Western Blot workflows. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal antiserum and cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for comparative studies of programmed cell death across species. Investigators working on DNA damage-induced apoptosis, anoikis, or the cellular response to cytokine withdrawal frequently use BMF expression as a read-out, and this reagent has been validated for that purpose via Western Blot. The IgG format allows direct labelling with HRP or fluorescent secondary antibodies depending on the detection chemistry preferred, and the unconjugated presentation keeps signal-to-noise optimization in the user's hands. As a primary antibody, it is intended for research use only and should be stored refrigerated between 2 and 8 degrees C in single-use aliquots to preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
