Anti-BLK Antibody

Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG and validated for Western blot, this Antibodies.com reagent targets B-lymphoid tyrosine kinase (BLK), a Src-family kinase most studied for its role in B-cell receptor signaling and early B-cell development.

BLK is expressed predominantly in B-lineage cells but has also been linked to insulin signaling in pancreatic beta cells and to susceptibility variants associated with systemic lupus erythematosus. This unconjugated antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat BLK, supporting comparative work across model systems and primary tissue lysates.

Supplied at 50 µl per vial in an unconjugated format, the antibody can be paired with a secondary reporter of choice, including HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG, depending on the detection platform. It is intended for research use only in western blot workflows probing endogenous BLK expression in lymphoid cells, pancreatic islets, and other relevant biological samples.
