B-lymphoid kinase (BLK) is a Src family non-receptor tyrosine kinase that signals downstream of the B-cell receptor, and this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against a recombinant fragment of the human BLK protein to detect endogenous total BLK in Western blot workflows.

The antibody recognizes the kinase across human, mouse, and rat samples, with a predicted target mass near 57 kDa, making it useful for probing lymphoid tissue lysates, B-cell lineage cell lines such as Daudi, and experimental models of B-cell receptor signaling.

Supplied as a 100 µl aliquot in a single-use vial, the polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes and lets investigators pair the reagent with their preferred HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibody for chemiluminescent or fluorescent readout.

For best stability the vial should be aliquoted on arrival and stored at -20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided so the reagent can be re-used across several blotting experiments.

This product is intended for research use only and has been applied by groups studying BLK variants in systemic lupus erythematosus susceptibility, type 1 diabetes, and B-cell malignancies, where altered BLK expression or signaling is a biological readout of interest.
