BLID (BH3-like motif containing cell death inducer) is a pro-apoptotic protein recognized as a tumor suppressor in several tissue types, with documented roles in programmed cell death pathways. The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal anti-BLID reagent was raised against this BH3-domain target for research applications in human samples.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml, prepared in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide as preservative and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of label and detection method to the researcher.

Validated applications include western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human tissue sections and cultured cell preparations. The 50% glycerol formulation keeps the antibody suspended under frozen storage, so repeated freeze-thaw cycles on the stock can be avoided by aliquoting. Working aliquots may be kept refrigerated for short-term bench use.

As a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, this antibody binds multiple epitopes across the BLID protein, which is useful when probing denatured lysates on membranes or surveying expression patterns in apoptosis research, breast cancer studies, and investigations of mitochondrial death signaling.
