Bisphosphoglycerate mutase (BPGM) is the erythrocyte-restricted enzyme that drives the Rapoport-Luebering glycolytic shunt, converting 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate into 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate and thereby tuning haemoglobin oxygen release to peripheral tissues. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com provides 100 µL of liquid reagent validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence on human samples, supporting research into red cell glycolysis, oxygen transport physiology, sickle cell disease, and BPGM-deficiency syndromes such as congenital non-spherocytic haemolytic anaemia and erythrocytosis.

The polyclonal response recognises multiple epitopes across the BPGM homodimer, making it useful as a confirmatory reagent on red cell lysates, cultured erythroid progenitors, and fixed tissue sections when paired with an appropriate secondary antibody. The unconjugated format permits flexible downstream labelling with HRP, fluorophore, or biotin conjugates depending on the chosen application and detection instrumentation.

Aliquot on first thaw, store frozen at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect the preparation from light. The 100 µL vial is intended for research use only; the reagent is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
