Targets the BIN1 protein, also known as Bridging Integrator 1 or Amphiphysin 2, a BAR-domain and SH3-domain containing adaptor central to membrane curvature sensing, clathrin-mediated endocytosis, and actin organisation at the cell cortex. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl in a vial and has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. BIN1 is expressed as a family of tissue-specific isoforms: neuronal forms concentrate at synaptic terminals where they regulate synaptic vesicle recycling, while muscle-enriched isoforms drive T-tubule biogenesis and adult muscle maintenance, and the protein is widely studied as a tumour suppressor lost in melanoma and as a susceptibility factor in late-onset Alzheimer's disease. Aliquot on first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the antibody is stable short term at 4 °C and should be kept at -20 °C in working aliquots for longer storage. Because it is supplied without sodium azide, it can be directly conjugated or paired with secondary reagents across a broad range of detection chemistries.
