From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes the BH3-only Bcl-2 family protein Bim when phosphorylated at Ser69 in human (equivalent to Ser65 in mouse). ERK1/2-mediated phosphorylation at this site is a well-characterized regulatory event that controls Bim's pro-apoptotic activity and ubiquitin-dependent turnover, making the reagent useful for studies of apoptosis regulation, oxidative and cytokine stress responses, and oncogenic signaling pathways.

Supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, the reagent is provided as a 100 µl aliquot and validated for western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal format supports multi-epitope recognition of the phospho-S69/S65 region in whole-cell lysates and tissue extracts resolved by SDS-PAGE, enabling comparative analysis of Bim phosphorylation status under different stimuli or inhibitor treatments.

For handling, aliquot the antibody upon arrival and store at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve phospho-specific binding. The 0.05% sodium azide serves as a microbial preservative; this reagent is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic applications.
