Anti-BIM (Ab-69) Antibody

Raised in rabbit and offered by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent is directed against the BH3-only pro-apoptotic protein BIM (also known as BCL2L11, Bcl-2-like protein 11, and Bcl2-interacting mediator of cell death), recognising an epitope surrounding residues 67–71 (P-A-S-P-G) of the human sequence. The antibody detects the endogenous level of total BIM protein and has been validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for apoptosis and BCL-2 family signalling studies across the most common laboratory species. It is supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified reagent at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
