Anti-BID (phospho-S78) Antibody

Available from Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognises the BID protein only when phosphorylated at Serine 78. It was raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human BID around the phosphorylation site of Serine 78, and the manufacturer states that it detects endogenous levels of BID exclusively when this residue is phosphorylated. The unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, with a stated purity greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE, and an observed molecular weight of approximately 22 kDa. Validated applications are western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse and rat samples.
