Anti-BID Antibody

This Mouse monoclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against full-length human BID (BH3-interacting domain death agonist, also known as p22 BID), a pro-apoptotic BH3-only member of the Bcl-2 family that resides in the cytosol as an inactive precursor and is activated by caspase-8 cleavage during Fas signalling. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as50 µl of ascitic fluid containing 0.03% sodium azide and has been affinity-purified from mouse ascites by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen (recombinant full-length human BID), yielding a purity of greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is validated for Western blot (recommended dilution 1:300–1:1,000) and Immunocytochemistry (1:100), detecting an endogenous band of approximately 22 kDa in human samples such as HeLa, 293T, Jurkat and A431 cells, and is certified for research use only. For storage, the vial should be kept at 4 °C for short-term use and aliquoted into –20 °C for long-term storage, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided.
