CRYBA4, or beta-crystallin A4, is a structural crystallin protein that contributes to the transparency and refractive index of the vertebrate eye lens. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against the human target and is supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum, ready for direct use in immunoblotting and immunofluorescence workflows. Validated applications include WB and IF on human samples, making it useful for studies of lens development, congenital cataract genetics, and ocular tissue biology. Because beta-crystallins are long-lived proteins that accumulate age-related modifications, this reagent is also relevant to research into protein stability, aggregation, and post-translational damage in the lens. For long-term storage, keep frozen at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect the vial from light to preserve antibody activity.
