Beta-catenin is a multifunctional 92 kDa cytoplasmic protein that plays a central role in canonical Wnt signaling and E-cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion. This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against beta-catenin and is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.
Recommended storage is at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; thaw on ice before use and briefly centrifuge before pipetting. Supplied as 100 µg of liquid IgG in a single vial, the unconjugated antibody can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents for chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot readout. Common research applications include studies of Wnt pathway activity, colorectal and hepatocellular carcinoma models, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and stem cell pluripotency, where monitoring cytosolic versus nuclear beta-catenin pools is of interest.
