Anti-beta-Amyloid Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets beta-Amyloid (Aβ), the 36–43 amino acid peptide derived from amyloid precursor protein (APP) through sequential cleavage by β- and γ-secretases. Aβ accumulates as extracellular amyloid plaques in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus, a histopathological hallmark that researchers investigate in post-mortem brain tissue and in transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative disorders.

Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, this unconjugated primary antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum fraction. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the Aβ sequence, including both the Aβ40 and Aβ42 species most strongly implicated in plaque formation.
