Beta 2 Microglobulin (B2M) is a 12 kDa non-covalently associated light chain subunit of the MHC class I complex, expressed on the surface of virtually all nucleated human cells. This unconjugated Mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody, clone D2E9 from Antibodies.com, binds the native human B2M protein and is supplied as a 100 µg lyophilised preparation that reconstitutes for use in ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence workflows.

The antibody is validated for human samples and performs reliably across multiple immunoassay platforms. As B2M is shed under both physiological and pathological conditions, including lymphoid malignancies and renal dysfunction, this reagent is frequently used to track MHC class I surface expression, monitor tumour cell phenotype changes, and probe antigen presentation pathways in primary cell isolates and cultured lines.

Reconstitute the lyophilised pellet in sterile distilled water or suitable buffer before use, then store working aliquots refrigerated for short-term stability or frozen at -20 °C for long-term preservation. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity, and clarify by centrifugation before each application if precipitation occurs after storage.
