Manufactured by Antibodies.com and supplied through AFMS (the authorised Saudi distributor), this primary antibody targets beta-2 Microglobulin (B2M), a 12 kDa Ig-like subunit of MHC class I molecules that is widely used as a marker of cell-surface MHC-I expression and as a clinical indicator in renal function and lymphoproliferative disorders. The reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the B2M immunogen and supplied as an affinity-purified, liquid preparation in a 5 mL format with an unconjugated format suitable for direct labelling in the user's own workflow. It is intended for ELISA applications, making it well suited to quantitative serum, plasma or culture-supernatant work, and has been validated to recognise endogenous B2M protein with cross-reactivity reported for human, mouse and rat samples. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, the isotype is IgG, and the antibody is provided unconjugated without preservative-coupled reporter enzymes such as HRP or biotin. For short-term use the reagent should be kept at 2–8 °C, while long-term storage at –20 °C in working aliquots is recommended to preserve activity and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. Researchers should centrifuge the vial briefly before opening and handle the liquid formulation with standard aseptic technique to maintain the affinity-purified polyclonal preparation at full titre for reproducible ELISA signal generation.
