Anti-BEST1 Antibody

Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against the human BEST1 target (also known as Bestrophin-1, TU15B, Vitelliform macular dystrophy protein 2, and VMD2) and is intended for the detection of the endogenous total BEST1 protein. The antibody is supplied in a 50 µl format at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a phosphate-buffered saline formulation (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, with no Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺ present. It is unconjugated and validated for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, and it has been verified to react with human samples, with mouse reactivity also reported on the product specification sheet. The immunogen used for immunization is a recombinant human BEST1 protein, and the final preparation was purified by affinity chromatography against the immunogen. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
