Anti-BDNF Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, targets Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) and is provided as an unconjugated liquid reagent suitable for western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF). The antibody is raised in rabbit, is of the IgG isotype, and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 20–247 of human BDNF (NP_733928.1). The product is supplied in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% Thiomersal, has been affinity purified, and has a reported molecular weight of 28 kDa. Concentration is described as lot specific. For western blotting, a recommended dilution range of 1:500–1:1,000 is given. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C and, upon delivery, should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
