BCL2L2 (also known as BCLW) is an anti-apoptotic member of the BCL-2 protein family that anchors to the outer mitochondrial membrane, where it sequesters pro-apoptotic BAX and BAK and helps preserve cell survival under cytotoxic stress. The Antibodies.com Anti-BCLW Antibody is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against this target, supplied as 100 µl of working solution for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

This polyclonal reagent recognizes a conserved epitope within the BCLW protein, giving consistent detection across the three reactive species. It is compatible with denaturing lysate preparations for WB and with fixed-cell imaging for IF. Because the antibody is unconjugated, researchers can pair it with their own HRP- or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents to match a preferred detection chemistry, and the rabbit host allows co-staining alongside mouse- or goat-derived primaries in multiplex experiments.

Typical applications include profiling mitochondrial apoptosis pathways in cancer cell lines, characterizing BCL-2 family expression during neuronal development or ischemic injury models, and tracking survival signaling in cardiac, hepatic, and hematopoietic tissues. Aliquot on receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated for short-term use; for longer periods keep frozen at -20 °C or below to preserve activity.
