BCL2L1 (Bcl-2-like protein 1, also known as Bcl-xL) is a key regulator of the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway and a member of the Bcl-2 family of cell-death proteins. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against BCL2L1 and recognizes both human and rodent orthologues, with confirmed reactivity toward Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The unconjugated format gives laboratories full flexibility to pair the reagent with their preferred secondary antibody and detection chemistry for individual experimental designs.

Supplied as a 100 µl aliquot in a single vial, the antibody is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry, supporting studies of apoptosis regulation, cancer biology, and neurodegeneration. On western blot, it can be used to probe full-length Bcl-xL together with its shorter Bcl-xS splice isoform, both products of alternative splicing of the BCL2L1 transcript. For immunohistochemistry, it enables localization of BCL2L1 expression in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections from tumor and normal specimens. Store at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity.

The polyclonal format offers broad epitope coverage useful for tracking endogenous BCL2L1 across diverse sample types, and its multi-species reactivity makes it well suited to translational research that bridges patient material with rodent disease models.
