From Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against BCL2L1 (Bcl-2-like protein 1), supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified IgG in a 100 µl format suitable for routine immunodetection workflows. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within amino acids 89 and 151 of human BCL2L1, and the antibody is validated for Western blotting (recommended dilution 1:500–1:3,000), immunohistochemistry (1:100–1:250), and immunofluorescence/ICC (1:100–1:200), giving coverage across the three most common antibody-based readouts. Reactivity is reported for human samples, with cross-reactivity to mouse and rat also supported on related antibodies in the same product family. The reagent is provided in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.3–7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, approximately 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative; it is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. The polyclonal format makes it well suited for detecting endogenous BCL2L1 (Bcl-XL/Bcl-XS) isoforms in cell lysates and tissue sections, and the unconjugated state allows researchers to pair it with their preferred secondary antibody or label of choice for WB, IHC, or IF detection. As an affinity-purified reagent intended for research use only, it is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications, and each vial should be handled according to standard cold-chain laboratory practice to maintain titre.
