BCAT1 (Branched Chain Amino Acid Transaminase 1) is a cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible transamination of branched-chain amino acids, including leucine, isoleucine, and valine, supporting nitrogen balance and regulation of mTOR signaling in dividing cells. Elevated BCAT1 expression has been documented in glioblastoma, colorectal tumors, and acute myeloid leukemia, where its activity contributes to cancer cell proliferation and metabolic reprogramming.
This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human BCAT1 and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry. The antibody is provided as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum for research use only, supporting studies of tumor metabolism, amino acid biosynthesis, and downstream cellular signaling pathways.
