Anti-BAX Antibody [Assigned #A2211]

Produced by Antibodies.com as a mouse IgG monoclonal reagent, this 100 µl unconjugated antibody targets BAX (BCL-2-associated X protein), the 21 kDa pro-apoptotic BCL-2 family member that inserts into the mitochondrial outer membrane to drive cytochrome c release and initiate intrinsic apoptosis. Clone A2211 is validated for Western Blot detection of endogenous BAX in human and monkey samples, producing a band near 20–21 kDa under standard SDS-PAGE conditions. It is a useful reagent for cancer and cell death research, including studies of chemotherapeutic-induced apoptosis, tumor suppressor signaling, and mitochondrial translocation assays in cultured mammalian cells and tissue lysates.
