BAG1 (BCL2-associated athanogene 1) is a multifunctional co-chaperone that bridges Hsp70/Hsc70 chaperone machinery to apoptosis regulation and steroid hormone receptor signaling. The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent was raised against recombinant full-length human BAG1 and affinity-purified using the epitope-specific immunogen, yielding greater than 95% purity by SDS-PAGE. The unconjugated IgG is supplied at 1 mg/ml in a 100 µl vial of phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide, and detects endogenous BAG1 across the major isoforms, which resolve at approximately 33 kDa (BAG-1S), 46 kDa (BAG-1M), and 50 kDa (BAG-1L).

Validated on human, mouse, and rat samples, the antibody is suited for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows using cell lysates, frozen tissue sections, and cultured cells. Investigators studying glucocorticoid and androgen receptor signaling, neuronal survival pathways, and breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer biology rely on this reagent to characterize isoform-specific BAG1 expression patterns. For best results, refrigerate for short-term use or freeze at -20°C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; mix gently before each use. Vials are dispatched from St. Louis, MO, with a lead time of 7-10 business days, and the product is intended for research use only.
