BAF53 (BRG1-associated factor 53), also called ACTL6A or Arp4, is an actin-related subunit of the SWI/SNF ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex that influences nucleosome sliding and gene expression programs. Polyclonal antibodies from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit target the BAF53 protein across human, mouse, and rat samples and are validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and chromatin immunoprecipitation. Researchers use these reagents to probe chromatin remodeling in neural progenitors where the BAF53a isoform gates proliferation versus differentiation, to map SWI/SNF subunit composition by co-immunoprecipitation, and to investigate BAF complex dysregulation in rhabdomyosarcoma and other ACTL6A-driven tumors. The unconjugated reagent is provided at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl aliquot; store refrigerated at 4 °C and avoid freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity.
