Anti-Bad (phospho S155) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the pro-apoptotic BCL-2 family protein Bad only when it is phosphorylated at serine 155, a modification introduced by survival kinases such as AKT/PKB. Because phosphorylation at this site inactivates Bad and shifts the balance away from mitochondrial apoptosis, the antibody is a useful reagent for monitoring PI3K/AKT signaling output and apoptotic priming in cell-based experiments.

Provided as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG in a vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot on human samples and is widely used in studies of growth factor signaling, oncogenic transformation, and kinase inhibitor pharmacology.
