Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the BAD protein and specifically recognizes an epitope surrounding residue Ser136 of mouse BAD (immunogen peptide sequence S-R-S-A-P, residues 134–138). The antibody detects the endogenous total BAD pool and is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, with no Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺ added. Purification is performed by affinity chromatography on epitope-specific peptide after immunization with a synthetic peptide–KLH conjugate, and the unconjugated IgG (isotype: rabbit IgG) is shipped at 4 °C; aliquot upon receipt and store at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The reagent is validated for Western blotting at 1:500–1:1000 and immunohistochemistry at 1:50–1:100, with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 23 kDa for the target band. Cross-reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it suitable for comparative studies across these species. The polyclonal format provide broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, which can be advantageous when studying post-translational modifications near Ser136 or when working with samples that may show minor sequence variation around this regulatory phosphorylation site. The product is intended for research use only and is not cleared for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
