B4GALT7 (beta-1,4-galactosyltransferase 7) is a Golgi-resident glycosyltransferase that initiates the linker region of glycosaminoglycan chains by transferring the first galactose residue onto the Xyl-Ser core of proteoglycans, and this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against it for immunoblotting work. The unconjugated IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl in a single vial and is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous B4GALT7 in human and mouse samples. Researchers studying connective tissue biology, proteoglycan biosynthesis, and disorders linked to defective linker-region formation, such as the progeroid variant of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, use this antibody to probe cell lysates and tissue homogenates for expression of the enzyme. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage for more consistent signal in standard immunoblotting workflows with chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection systems. For storage, refrigerate and protect from light; aliquot before use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, since the reagent is intended for research use only.
