B3GALTL, also called beta-1,3-galactosyltransferase-like (B3GLCT), is a membrane-bound glycosyltransferase that resides in the endoplasmic reticulum and participates in the O-linked glycosylation of thrombospondin type 1 repeat (TSR) domains. The enzyme assembles a glucose-beta1,3-fucose disaccharide motif on TSR-containing substrates, a modification implicated in Peters-plus syndrome, in which loss-of-function variants disrupt anterior eye, cardiac, and skeletal morphogenesis.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is validated for western blot detection of the human B3GALTL polypeptide. Provided as 100 µl of liquid antiserum, it allows direct probing of cell lysates and tissue homogenates without intermediate labeling steps. The polyclonal host response yields recognition across multiple epitopes of the target protein, supporting consistent band patterns on immunoblots of human-derived samples separated under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions.

Used in laboratories characterizing congenital glycosylation disorders, profiling B3GALTL expression in epithelial or neural tissues, or tracking expression changes in cellular models of craniofacial development. Intended for research use only.
