Anti-B3GALT6 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against B3GALT6 (beta-1,3-galactosyltransferase 6), a Golgi-resident type II transmembrane enzyme that catalyzes the first galactosyl transfer step in glycosaminoglycan (GAG) linkage-region assembly on proteoglycans including decorin, biglycan, and acrogranin. Because loss-of-function variants in B3GALT6 underlie spondylodysplastic and progeroid forms of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, the protein is a frequent subject of studies on connective-tissue biology, extracellular matrix remodeling, and congenital disorders of glycosylation.

Supplied as an unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) supplemented with 15 mM sodium azide (approx. pH 7.2), the antibody is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous human and rat target. The 100 µl vial should be stored refrigerated between uses to preserve activity; for longer-term storage, aliquot the solution to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
