B-RAF is a serine/threonine protein kinase in the RAF family that sits upstream of MEK and ERK within the MAPK signaling cascade. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbit, is supplied as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl volume for use in western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows against human and mouse samples.
Somatic alterations in B-RAF, most notably the V600E substitution, are recurrent drivers in melanoma, colorectal carcinoma, papillary thyroid carcinoma, and hairy cell leukemia, making reliable detection of the protein valuable for tumor characterization and pathway analysis. Researchers apply this reagent to confirm B-RAF expression in cell line panels, validate CRISPR knock-out or knock-in models, and probe biopsy material.
From Antibodies.com, the polyclonal format presents multiple epitope targets across the B-RAF protein, supporting detection across varied sample preparations. The unconjugated presentation pairs with a broad selection of HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents.
